Lakeview Millworks is a division of Pacific Pine Products, located in
the High Desert of South Central Oregon. A small community, Lakeview
has a colorful heritage in the lumber and cattle industries, including
many larger family-owned businesses.
The Larson family has
always been in the wood products business, including a sizable logging
operation in years past. In 1990, the Larsons purchased the original
Goose Lake Lumber Company, (later, Precision Pine Corporation). Roger
Larson thought the fifteen-acre site with the 100,000 square foot
building might be something his company could grow into, and grow it
did!
Roger directed his efforts toward producing top quality
wood window and door components for major manufacturers in the
fenestration industry. One challenge faced by the industry was
maintaining stability in the parts produced. Roger solved this by
using laminated veneer lumber (LVL) as substrate. Soon after, a major
portion of all the parts they produced contained LVL, and this
continues to be the case today.
With dedication to service and
quality, the Larsons began the next step in manufacturing - assembling
components that have been meticulously produced into finely crafted
custom wood doors. Limited production began in 2001, and has been
growing ever since.
